Hybrid organ

A hybrid instrument combines a pipe organ with electronic sound production. Combining the two has multiple objectives:
/ Expanding the sound repertoire (additional registers)
/ Modelling the sound radiation by combined playing of the pipe organ and speakers
/ Overlaying related pipe and electronic registers to have a flexible effect on dynamics and articulation
At the Centre for Organ Research, the mobile, modular pipe organ by Orglarstvo Močnik is combined with an organ sampler. The two setter devices are synchronised. Any of the electronic parameters (e.g. the volume) can be controlled via the swell pedal of the Močnik console or additional interfaces.
